Ron Doering B.A., LL.B., M.A., LL.D. is Counsel in the Ottawa offices of Gowling WLG (Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs Group) where he provides legal and strategic policy advice to many Canadian and international agriculture and food companies. Dr. Doering is the former president of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. He speaks and writes widely on public policy issues. He writes the popular monthly column on Food Law in the leading trade magazine Food in Canada. He is an Adjunct Professor with Carleton University’s Program on Food Science and Nutrition where he pioneered courses on The Regulation of the Food Industry.
